Advanced Case Studies in External Auditing & Corporate Governance (8th edition)

Advanced Case Studies in External Auditing & Corporate Governance was written to assist postgraduate students in preparing for the auditing questions in professional examinations, especially the Qualifying Examination Part 1 of SA Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

This text has been commended for it's "generic guidance" at the start of each chapter. The majority of the questions in the text are of a standard equal to the requirements of the qualifying Examination Part 1; the logic being that if one can successfully complete the case studies, one will pass the auditing questions in the professional examination.

Advanced Case Studies in External Auditing & Corporate Governance aims to develop students' cognitive skills in the field of Auditing. To achieve this, special effort has been made to ensure that the questions are not excessively predictable, and that the suggested solutions provided to universities that prescribe the text are complete and accurate. The text has been updated for the Companies Act no. 71 of 2008 (was amended), the King III Report, the redrafted International Standards on Auditing and the latest Codes of Ethics of SAICA and the IRBA.
