ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Wendy Hartmann has been writing for many years. She has had more̴Ì_than forty children‰ۡó»s books published. They range from concept and̴Ì_counting, beginner readers, high interest/low vocabulary readers to̴Ì_picture books. Her books have been selected for honour‰ۡó»s lists and̴Ì_nominated for awards for writing and illustration.
Wendy lives in Table View, Cape Town. She is married and has̴Ì_two daughters. In her spare time, she paints and has taken part in̴Ì_numerous exhibitions and has works in private collections in South̴Ì_Africa as well as overseas.
ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
Joan Rankin̴Ì_has illustrated over thirty books for children. She̴Ì_received the South African HAUM Daan Retief Prize for children‰ۡó»s̴Ì_book illustration in 1986 and the Katrine Harries Award for Children‰ۡó»s̴Ì_Book Illustration in 1991. She has illustrated numerous books on the̴Ì_McElderry list, including A Frog in the Bog by Karma Wilson and Off̴Ì_to First Grade by Louise Borden. Joan recently won the MER Prize for̴Ì_best illustrated children‰ۡó»s book for̴Ì_Just Sisi/Net Sisi̴Ì_written by Wendy̴Ì_Hartmann.
