Extensive travel throughout the world has fed an anthropological and spiritual quest, mostly among the Quechua Indians of Peru, the Balinese, and the Zulus of Southern Africa. These explorations of cultures, traditions, beliefs, and ways of life were part of making sense of life.

Ever since a youth, guided by a sheer love and respect for nature, Walter believes, the answers we need are revealed to us, if we only know how to see and truly interpret Nature.

EOC is his first book – surviving and growing from a bewildering journey through childhood and adolescence into adulthood, and its consequences are viewed from the perspective of other cultures, beliefs and practices, as his ‘inner child’ is healed. The reader is effortlessly transported through the wonderful imagery and descriptive anecdotes.

Vicissitudes, that many of us may have experienced, are balanced with hope, humour, humility and understanding – above all humanness.

The inquisitiveness continues, and feeds the zest for life.
