Carla Fibla García-Sala reported from Commissioner Street for the Spanish magazine Mundo Negro, on how second-hand books came to dominate Johannesburg's literary market.

At Bridge Books, 75% of the titles are by African authors, and the international fiction section is tucked away in a corner.
