Time Out — Bridge Books is undergoing a transformation

Time Out followed the building works at Bridge Books, as our Helen Joseph Street home was rebuilt around us — with the shop staying open throughout.

"The talks about renovation have been going on for a long time, but we started with the renovations this week."

"The bookstore is still functional, just a bit messy and dusty."

Our Katya Strydom told Time Out the reworked shop was expected "very tentatively, by the end of October", with the Underground Booksellers Walking Tour paused in the meantime.
