I considered the Goodwin book to be an accurate, intelligent, and well-executed depiction of events. As a memoir, it describes the condition of a family whose basic human rights have been brutally violated. The difficulties they had to endure. Everyone has the basic human right, in my opinion, to tell their tale. It is the only way to record a complete version of history. It's another method of displaying greed in all of its guises. This book made an important contribution.
