An intimate and deeply personal book, in What’s Your Move? Nicolette talks openly about her experiences with money and the way she was brought up. She shares her beliefs about how our everyday behaviour influences how we manage our finances, and how, in spite of knowing better, we sometimes make the wrong financial decisions.

What’s Your Move? is a challenge: a challenge to you to make a move that will be financially rewarding. A promise to yourself that you are more than capable of managing your money.

What's Your Move , by Nicolette Mashile

The topics mentioned in this book were obviously nothing new, but the manner they were presented made a difference since it was more accessible to Africans and the concepts were described simply. The financial lessons were also given in a more comprehensible way through the stories. Personally, I value how she emphasizes the need of reflection and the reality that, before everything else, one's emotional intelligence, beliefs, and upbringing determine their financial behaviors. Additionally, there is a requirement to set up individual financial goals because no one's path should be followed. It's a good place to start on the road to financial literacy, therefore I'd suggest it to any young adults getting ready to start earning their own money.
