Reality

Femicide is such an important topic, especially in South Africa. So this book is very important to society. The investigations and interrogations that went into writing this book are commendable. This is a conversation we need to keep having as South Africans because our femicide rate is one of the highest in the world. This is not only not a good image for South Africa, but it makes us question the humanity that is always being preached about in our country. This book is a must read for someone who wants answers on the state of South Africa when it comes to femicides.

Important read

An important read for all especially from a man's point of view, as it highlights the the reign of terror that many men give to women. This book provides a lot of historical insight to issues of GBV, but this book provides hope that it can change!

Femicide in South Africa

A must read for all fellow South Africans! The book is about Gender Based Violence which in South Africa the statistics just keeps rising. Nechama Brodie provided a researched perspective about femicide in South Africa. The historical and statistical background which lead to the problem is being combined in the book and there are different solutions to solve the problem mentioned. The book covers gore information and the way those women are exploited by the news, but Brodie’s book makes you feel hopeful that things can change.

Femicide in South Africa, by Nechama Brodie

This book I would recommend as it is important for any young lady to know what is going on in our country such as South Africa. As Gender Based Violence is such a big thing going on in South Africa, Brodie had a very deep background and broaden my mind about how we talk and see woman, until the extent on how manipulative social media change our minds on these crimes, yet Brodie as well put some feelings with this book which made it more personal.
