Mandla Hamilton Kunene (nicknamed Black Kotton) is the fifth born child at home. He was born on 09 February 1983 in Glencoe in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. He attended Lethukuthula Primary School in Danhausser, then in 1992 began at Amakhemfundo Primary School (Glencoe), and matriculated in 2000 at Sebenzakusakhanya Secondary School, also in Glencoe. In 2002 he moved to Johannesburg where he currently still works. His first job in Johannesburg was as a cashier at a Total Service Station and he now works for Aquasurge, specialising in installing boreholes and purification of borehole water. In 2009 he completed his Media Studies (Journalism and Creative Writing Certificate) at Intec College. He started writing at an early age, while in Grade7, when his short story in the vernacular led the whole of the grade. This book, Irreplaceable Man And His Thoughts, is a collection of English and IsiZulu poems by Black Kotton, written after witnessing various scenarios around the world, both good and bad. It will appeal and apply to both youngsters and adults alike. Black Kotton and his thoughts are irreplaceable, yet one day he will be gone…. No teacher will convey the messages in this book in the same way that he does. After reading this book, he guarantees that readers will be energised and rejuvenated.
