This book attempts to distil and set out in simple and digestible form the main features and claims of African Theology. It is 'An Introduction' because it has no pretensions of being comprehensive and detailed. Also it is meant to present this manner of theologising for the first time in South Africa, while it has been done quite extensively in other parts of Africa. It is further hoped that this manner of approaching 'the faith' shall be an eye-opener to many African Christians, especially the youth, who have been taught so much to internalise the images which the conquering cultures have bestowed on them that they have developed to despise themselves, and consequently to hate themselves, their past, their present, and their future.
