First Poems, Chris Mann (used)

Published in 1979 by Bateleur Press in Cape Town, this was the debut poetry collection of South African poet Chris "Zithulele" Mann (1948-2021), marking the start of a career that would later earn him the Olive Schreiner Prize and the English Academy of South Africa's Gold Medal. Mann, a Rhodes Scholar fluent in English, Afrikaans, isiZulu and isiXhosa, went on to found the multilingual South African literature festival Wordfest.
