Selected Poems, by Douglas Livingstone

Douglas Livingstone was born in Kuala Lumpur in 1932 and arrived in Africa in 1942. He has won major international and local awards for his poetry and is generally recognized at home and abroad as South Africa's leading contemporary poet. This is the first selection of his work, which includes five published volumes of poetry, a verse play, and translations. The poems in this volume span the last twenty-five years and were selected by the author, who currently lives in Durban where he does bacteriological work on the sea.
