It is a story of how members of the Afrikaners' secret brotherhood, the Broederbond, came to terms with the need for change and met secretly with the outlawed ANC in an English village over a period of three years. The story is told in this book by an award-winning South African journalist who also won his country's Sanlem Literary Award in 1990 for The Mind of South Africa.
