Usuku lukaMpumi Kanye NoJabu Olunomlingo (isiZulu), by Lebohang Masango

The isiZulu edition of "Mpumi and Jabu's Magical Day," a picture book in which a hearing girl, Mpumi, and a Deaf boy, Jabu, meet and play together for the first time, discovering they share the same interests and joys despite their differences. A sequel to "Mpumi's Magic Beads," the story celebrates inclusion and friendship across difference; part of its proceeds support Hi Hopes, an early-intervention programme for families with deaf and hard-of-hearing children. The book has been published in all 11 South African languages plus French and won a Pendoring Award in 2022.
