Steve Biko. Jacana pocket guides.
By (author): Lindy Wilson. A lively introduction to antiapartheid activist Steve Biko, this biography argues that Biko was the most important political figure to have emerged in South Africa between Nelson Mandela's arrest in the early 1960s and his release in 1990. This accessible volume demonstrates just how fundamental Biko was to the transformation of South Africa.

I remember reading this book for my Sociology assignment and I couldn't put it down. Steve Biko is all for black pride and being aware that slavery back in the apartheid era was not just physical but in our now generation is also psychological. This book brings up racial issues and injustices that occur to black people and prompts the awareness of black people and freeing the minds of black people from the psychological oppression. It is a must read most definitely!
