As summer wanes, the beasts awaken.
A stranger has arrived in Dunham, shrouded in an air of mystery and armed with a deadly purpose. She carries with her the carcass of a werewolf. The mere sight of it sews panic among the townsfolk. Scant few have seen such a creature before. Fewer still believed they even existed. Worse yet, another beast lurks in the woods.
But Jack of Roslee, an old man who's seen his share of monsters, is more intrigued by the sight of the stranger. This huntress, garbed in a bright red riding hood and sat astride her blind black horse, has done what few others can. She's slain a werewolf. And now she promises to kill another.
Dark days lie ahead for the people of Dunham. As the line between myth and reality begins to blur, Jack finds himself feeling a familiar dread. There's something about the look of this Red Rider that he cannot trust. But in times like these, it doesn't hurt to have a monster hunter on your side.
