Madam and Eve: It's a Jungle Out There

By (author): Stephen Francis. By (author): Harry Dugmore. By (author): Rico Schacherl. This is one of the many annual collections of South Africa's Madam & Eve, a satirical daily comic strip created by Stephen Francis and Rico Schacherl that debuted in July 1992. It follows the "affectionate squabbling" between Gwen Anderson, a middle-class white "madam," and Eve Sisulu, her domestic worker, as they navigate post-apartheid South African life, alongside recurring digs at local and international politics.
