In Barbara Trapido's "Noah's Ark" (1984), Ali Bobrow is an unconventional single mother juggling a difficult nine-year-old, a hostile ex-husband, and an underused artistic talent, whose overcrowded life is transformed when she meets Noah Glazer, a steady, scientifically minded man who brings order and security. Ten years into their marriage, though, Ali is pulled back into unresolved complications from her past — an old lover, former spouses, and other loose ends that threaten to unsettle their happiness.
