By (author): Ute Richter. Photographs by: Wolfgang Roucka. Edited by: Phyllis Hinton.
A riding manual for beginners that teaches through pictures. Most of its 96 pages are photographs, many in step-by-step sequences, showing the rider's position and aids in action so a novice can see exactly what each technique should look like. Short, practical captions and text carry the explanation.
First published in German as Reiten im Bild (Munich, 1967). This English edition was edited, with an introduction, by Phyllis Hinton, and published by Ward Lock in London in 1970. A good find for anyone starting out in the saddle, or for collectors of vintage equestrian books.
Condition: Very good. Tears to the dust jacket.
