Scotty Smith (Used)

A biography of George St Leger Gordon Lennox (1845-1919), the Scottish-born adventurer who became known across the old Cape frontier and Kalahari as "Scotty Smith," alternately dubbed the "uncrowned King of the Kalahari" or "the Robin Hood of the Veld." The book traces his decades-long career of cattle and horse theft, diamond smuggling, gun-running and elephant hunting, alongside stints as a British intelligence scout, while noting how many of the legends around him grew with retelling. He died in Upington in 1919, by then regarded as a respected local townsman.
