The mistrial of Andrew Zondo (Used)

Sociologist and anti-apartheid activist Fatima Meer examines the case of Andrew Zondo, the young Umkhonto we Sizwe operative sentenced to death and executed in 1986 for the December 1985 Amanzimtoti shopping centre bombing that killed five civilians. Subtitled "A Sociological Insight," the book situates Zondo's trial within the wider climate of apartheid-era political violence and state justice. Meer was a University of Natal sociology lecturer for over three decades - the first non-white person to hold that post - and later wrote the first authorised biography of Nelson Mandela.
