"Vita and Harold: The Letters of Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson, 1910–1962," edited by their son Nigel Nicolson and published in 1992, collects the correspondence of the famously devoted married couple. Despite both having relationships outside their marriage, Vita and Harold wrote to each other almost daily whenever apart, and the letters trace their unconventional but enduring partnership from their wedding until Vita's death.
