A 1978 essay collection by the Buddhist scholar-monk Walpola Rahula, exploring core concepts of Buddhist thought and doctrine (published in London by Gordon Fraser, 160 pages). The title draws on the classic Zen "Ten Ox-Herding" imagery of "taming the bull," a traditional metaphor for disciplining the mind on the path to enlightenment. Rahula was also the author of the influential introductory work "What the Buddha Taught."
